Demolition of much of the Olympic Pool complex on Centennial Marine Drive started on Tuesday after asbestos found in the administration building last week was removed on Monday.
Removal of the 50-metre pool, its roof and the administration block has been pending since the new Kiwa Pools complex opened last year.
Contractors made quick work of the old admin building.
