Roll up for the Foton show

IT IS A&P Show time this weekend and Foton is coming to the party with some special deals on the popular range of double cabs. This is Foton’s third year at the Show and it has received a positive response every time.

The Show coincides with a special offer. Foton has been coaxed into making a special offer of $24,990 on two-wheel drive double cabs.

For those who want something more, there is also $3000 off the four-wheel drive double cabs at the moment.

For an extra bonus, buyers will get a free Tuff deck liner which is specially designed to cope with a hard life on the farm.

The message is: don’t wait, these special deals will end on October 31.

Part of a tough, rugged fleet of vehicles using state of the art technology, the Foton Tunland 2WD double cab offers yet another choice in the quality Chinese-made fleet of vehicles.

The Foton Tunland methodology is simple but highly effective. Tunland’s original, robust design is partnered with the power, performance and reliability of established, globally-recognised brands for its major drivetrain elements.

That means the 2WD double cab is based around the highly regarded Cummins ISF engine, the 2.8 litre turbo diesel intercooled engine with its massive 120kW of power at 3000rpm and extremely flat torque curve of 360Nm between 1800 and 3000rpm. It is good enough for Cummins to provide a three year/100,000km guarantee and an extended service interval from 10,000 to 20,000 kilometres.

The towing capacity is 2500kg.

Matched with a globally rated Getrag five-speed manual transmission system the 2WD double cab has a combined fuel consumption of 8.4 litres/100kms and incidentally meets global emission standards.

Foton has partnered with another respected supplier ,Bosch, for its four channel ABS and EBD anti-skid braking system. This is backed up by driver and front passenger height adjustable airbags along with front seat belts.

The Foton Tunland offers the extra security of a two-stage remote-entry key with the first stage opening the driver’s door only.

There is no shortage of creature comforts with air conditioning, a quality audio system including CD, MP3 player and Bluetooth with steering wheel control for the main functions.

In many ways the 2WD double cab is indistinguishable from the 4WD as both offer commanding views while driving. It is perfect for a tradesperson or farmer running around Gisborne and more and more Fotons are starting appear.

The company has been in existence since 1996 and its whole emphasis has been on producing tough, rugged and reliable vehicles at a price that is letting many new buyers into the market.
