It’s that ‘80s show again

Are you missing the 1980s? Or even the 2017 Gisborne show that relived the decade of big hair, padded shoulders, New Romantics and excess?

Well it’s time to go back to the future with the Let’s Go Back To the ‘80s dress-up night.

“This has been the most requested theme night after last year’s sell out, so it’s happening again,” says organiser James Packman.

Eighties dress is encouraged. Prizes are up for the best (and worst) costumed. The foyer will be themed and will include a photo area and “other surprises”.

A special guest DJ will spin hand-picked ‘80s tunes, and classic ‘80s music videos will be screened.

Tickets $15. Available now. Text 027 536 8096. From July 9, tickets will also be available from The Aviary (cash sales only).

Let’s Go Back To the ‘80s will be held at the Dome on August 11, 9pm.

The first 95 ticket buyers will receive an exclusive ‘80s gift. Only 250 tickets available. Last year’s event sold out fast so get in early.

Do you support the call for a feasibility study into developing an "inland port" and sending the district's export logs to Napier Port by rail, to get log trucks out of the city and to repurpose the port and harbour area?
