R&V says see ya to scammers & scalpers

TICK IT: Rhythm and Vines ticket holders can party in peace, even if peace is hardly what party people got to the festival for, thanks to a new partnership that will leave ticket scalpers and scammers out in the cold. Picture supplied

Ticket scammers and scalpers who rip off Rhythm and Vines’ party people will be left out in the cold thanks to a new R&V partnership.

To reduce harm from people who consistently re-sell fake tickets or tickets at inflated prices, R&V has teamed up with official resale facility, Tixel. Through its platform, Tixel scans all tickets to exclude fakes. Ticket prices are also capped to stop scalping. Ticket buyers receive tickets with their name on them. Ticket holders’ IDs will be matched at the door against the name on each ticket. The only way to buy a secondhand ticket reissued in your name is through Tixel.

Name change and ticket reseller options are available but fees will apply. If you want to sell a ticket privately, check the “private listing” option before you finalise your listing.

If want to send your ticket to a friend, use the “transfer name” option.

If you have bought multiple tickets for your friends with your name on all of them, and even if they are arriving with you, you will need to update the names using the “transfer name” option.

The name on each ticket must match the ID of the person using it. Tickets bought off Viagogo or any other platform will not be valid.

Tickets for R&V can only be purchased through:

Do you support the call for a feasibility study into developing an "inland port" and sending the district's export logs to Napier Port by rail, to get log trucks out of the city and to repurpose the port and harbour area?
