The young and the gifted

Manutuke School student Raiha Williams, pictured above, lifts her artwork off a series of linocut, woodcut and foamcut designs.

Raiha was one of a group of young students who took part in a printmaking workshop under artist/tutor Todd Sheridan at Lysnar House this week as part of Gifted Awareness Week.

The pattern seen at the top of the sheet of paper represents Raiha’s nan and koro, the middle design is a koru while the third design (not visible) is based on a pattern on a gift Raiha’s nan brought back from Hawaii.
