Conservation Experiences Donner’s Bush microreserve project. 10am-12pm. Weed control, mulching and track development to support the development of the eco-corridor running along the Waimata River. Meet at 9.45am at the Department of Conservation office at 63 Carnarvon Street to travel to the site on Riverside Road.
Bring covered footwear, suitable clothing and a water bottle.

DIY Natural Deodorant workshop. 11.30am–12.30pm. Discover how to make deodorant using organic and natural ingredients in this Tairawhiti Environment Centre workshop run by tutor Heera Rigney.
Cost is $20 per person, which includes a take-home product.

Beach clean-up with Plastic Bag-Free Tairawhiti (PBFT). 2-3pm. Wainui Beach between “Whales” and “Schools”. Join the community beach clean-up to mark
the end of Plastic Free July at this Gisborne beach. Bring a bucket and gloves. Check the PBFT Facebook
page for cancellations.

Conservation Experiences Waihirere Domain pest control. 10am-2pm. Have a go at cleaning up pest plants along the stream in the domain and checking pest traps. Meet at Waihirere carpark. Bring covered shoes and lunch. Tools provided.
