Nursery Work, 10am-2pm. Want to learn how to grow native trees? Join in potting up native trees that we will be donating to community groups like schools and marae. No experience needed. Donner’s Bush Microreserve Project. 10am-12pm. Weed control, mulching, track development to support the development of the riverside ecological corridor. Bring covered footwear, suitable clothing and a water bottle. Meet at 9.45am at the Department of Conservation office, 63 Carnarvon Street. Contact Charles Barrie on 027 5396 692. Titirangi Plant Care as part of Conservation Week. 10am-12pm. Work involves releasing the weeds from around natives planted by the Women’s Native Tree Project. Come and enjoy the good company, the views and put something back into Titirangi, a key reserve of the Tairawhiti region. Bring covered footwear and outside clothes. Tools are provided. Meet at the top carpark of Titirangi, opposite the Telecom tower. Contact Andy Kinsella on 027 511 8156. Part of Conservation Experiences Tairawhiti.

Pest trapping and weedbusting at Waihirere Domain. 10am-2pm. Have a go at cleaning up pest plants along the stream in Waihirere Domain, plus check pest traps. Bring covered footwear and lunch. Freshwater Monitor and Management Workshops.
