A free community event involving some of the sharpest environmental thinkers and a range of special guest presenters, exploring the relationship between economic development and te taiao (environment), and the unique ecology and biodiversity of Tairawhiti. The Dome Cinema and Bar, corner of Childers Road and Customhouse Street.

Pecha Kucha night: Shaped by the Land. 7-10pm. Listen to some thought-provoking presentations from some of Tairawhiti’s sharpest environmental thinkers as part of the Tairawhiti Enviro Hui. The Dome Cinema and Bar, corner of Childers Road and Customhouse Street.

Trapping workshop, Waihirere Domain. 10am-1pm. People are also welcome to join a trapping workshop as part of the Tairawhiti Enviro Hui. A sausage sizzle will be provided. Bring appropriate footwear and something to drink.
