Waikane Plant Care. 10am-12pm. Meet at Alfred Cox Park behind the I-Site. Join a plant care and weed control session along the edge of Waikanae Stream. Bring covered footwear and outside clothes. Sunday, November 26

Plastic Bag Free Tairawhiti Monthly Beach Clean-Up — Sponge Bay. 10-11am. Help clean up the region’s beautiful beaches and keep rubbish out of the ocean. Bring bucket, gloves and wear sturdy shoes.

Wednesday, November 29

Donner’s Bush Microreserve Project. 10am-12pm. Meet at 9.45am at the Department of Conservation office, 63 Carnarvon Street, to travel to the site, which can be difficult to find. The session will involve weed control, mulching and track development to support the development of the riverside ecological corridor. Bring covered footwear, suitable clothing and a water bottle.
