Family Notice - Bereavements

PAORA WHAANGA We are thankful to a loving Heavenly Father who allowed us to be a part of this beautiful man's life. We, the whanau of Paora Whaanga (Ngai Paora), are grateful and thankful to those who, during his last months, enabled him to maintain his dignity until his eyes closed. Doctor Stoltenberg and his staff, who were always available. The District Nurses, Occupational Therapists who readily provided benevolent care. Later we had such an influx of love and caring in the most practical ways, we were humbled and overwhelmed. Those who, over the months, faithfully administered the Sacrament every Sunday. Gratitude to the Stake Presidency, and Bishops of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and Relief Societies. To our beloved friends of many years, the Greening, Brown families, Dave McClutchie, Reweti Ropiha of Turanga Health, Lytton High, Sharon Maynard of Turanga Ararau, TROTAK, London Street Fish Shop, the Aunties and Uncles, our caring neighbours, you all made our journey lighter by your generous contributions. Taharakau, Miriama Stewart and whanau, John Whaanga, Tamati Olsen, Derek Lardelli, Tapunga Nepe and Tiopira Rauna, always there for Uncle. Thank you for getting Paora home to Nuhaka, and on time! Nga Mihi, Nga Mihi, Nga Mihi Arohanui. To Graeme Gedye and Associates of Stonehaven Funeral Services, your care and services far exceeded more than we had ever anticipated. Words will never be adequate enough to express our thanks. As we journeyed to take Paora home to Nuhaka, Rongowhakaata, Tu Te Manawa Maurea, and Ngai Tamanuhiri, your outpourings of love on the Marae were uplifting and enriching to "Ngai Paora," as you accompanied us and kept us warm on our journey to Nuhaka. Kahungunu whanau whanui for your support and manaaki. Graeme Symes for keeping Rakaipaaka home fires burning. Our beautiful Kai Karanga. Rakaipaaka te Iwi o ratou ma, he mihi atu tenei, tena koutou katoa. Kore, e kore rawa e ngaro! Gifts of love came in many forms, we acknowledge them all, kai, flowers, koha, cards, texts, phone calls, hugs, kisses, those helping out the back and in the front of the Marae, those who travelled to share their love with us. We have not been able to find everybody's mailing address, so please accept this as a heartfelt personal acknowledgement to you all. To the generosity of the Erica Jones whanau, Te Papa Tongarewa, Arapata Hakiwai, me Rongowhakaata Taurahere Ki Poneke for a beautiful, humbling experience. 'Twas our joy to have been able to share him with you all. Tenei matou e noho ana ki te puna o Whakaiti. Romia me "Ngai Paora"
