Remembrance

REMEMBRANCE: These aerial shots were taken by Gisborne Herald photographer Liam Clayton last week as he was flown up to the Eastland Network power restoration site at Hangaroa. We offer them in Focus on the Land today in remembrance of Farmers Air pilot George Anderson and his loader driver Robbie Solouota who lost their lives in the topdresser crash. The tragedy illustrates the front line nature of the top dressing industry, an industry that is so pivotal to the region's pastoral development that George and Robbie were part of. These views were part of their daily working lives.
