James Macpherson's 'kindness goes way past his chequebook'

James Macpherson, Bayleys principal for East Coast, Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay, put the company name on the Open shearing final at the Golden Shears in Masterton.

He went further though. Mr Macpherson arranged for front row seats at the final for young shearers from this region.

“His kindness goes way past his chequebook,” said Pania King, who had two children in those seats.

“The children were all ecstatic about it. They said it was the highlight of their year so far.”
