Feedsmart and Body Condition Scoring Workshop on Tuesday

Pasture expert Tom Fraser is returning to Gisborne for the workshop being held at Tangihanga Station.

Tangihanga Station will host a Beef and Lamb New Zealand’s (B+LNZ) Feedsmart and Body Condition Scoring Workshop on Tuesday.

The free workshop gives farmers skills needed to better understand the importance of flock nutrition and feed requirements. “Also how to successfully body-condition-score your own flock,” said B+LNZ extension manager Mark Harris.

“It costs nothing, yet the difference it can make to your production is dramatic. It can increase your scanning percentage, lamb birth weights, survivability and growth rates — as well as your bottom line.”
