Cattle come through terrific season

Red cattle walking: Bull walks are showcasing how well cattle have thrived this year.

Two of the district’s Hereford cattle studs Mokairau at Whangara and Wilencote at Ngatapa showcased their 2018 crops of rising two-year-old bulls yesterday ahead of the sales season for them at the end of June.

Hain Herefords and Angus start the sales season as usual with their on-farm sale on June 5.

The Angus “Bull Walk” last week demonstrated clearly how well the black cattle have come through a terrific season, and it’s anticipated the red cattle will have done just as well. File picture
