Calling time after 40-year stock agency career

Steve Goldsbury. Picture supplied

Long-time PGG Wrightson stock agent and auctioneer Steve Goldsbury (pictured) called time on his 40-year stock agency career at the end of Bull Week last week and it comes as no suprise to discover he has gone off to play lawn bowls.

Tributes flowed during Bull Week for a man who obviously made his mark in the industry, here and elsewhere. Steve will feature in the Weekender on Saturday where he tells his story, reflecting on his career and the people he serviced as an agent who became his friends.

He attended his final sale at Matawhero last Friday.

Do you support the call for a feasibility study into developing an "inland port" and sending the district's export logs to Napier Port by rail, to get log trucks out of the city and to repurpose the port and harbour area?
