Cleaner pastures

Beef and Lamb New Zealand will stage a Better Pastures workshop in Gisborne later this month about effective thistle management and lifting the metabolic energy in pastures with legumes.

The workshop will be held at the Waikanae Surf Lifesaving Club on February 13 from 12.30pm to 5pm.

“The workshop will look at better nutrient placement with hyperspectral (imaging) technology, forage herbs and their place in pasture, and do woody forages have a place?” a spokesman said.
