Favourite German sayings

AFTER a once in a lifetime experience, having an exchange student all the way from Germany, I learned how to speak some German!

Now, thanks to this experience, I can speak in German without anyone knowing what I’m saying.

Here are some of my favourite, most important and most used phrases:

Hello – Hallo

How are you? – Wie geht es dir?

Good morning – guten morgen

Sister – schwester

I like food – ich mag essen

My name is Sarah – Mein name ist Sarah

Thank you – danke

Please – Bitte

I love you – ich liebe dich

Good night – guten nacht

I live in New Zealand – ich lebe in Neuseeland

Goodbye – Auf Wiedersehen

Most important and favourite saying: I love chocolate – ich liebe schokolade!!
