Something decidedly fishy about Gisborne Tatapouri Fishing Club’s first major comp of year.

JUST over 100 anglers and 27 boats took part in Gisborne Tatapouri Fishing Club’s first major competition of the year.

Around $10,000 worth of prizes were given out to successful anglers in the Hunting and Fishing Inshore competition.

This Saturday is the ladies fishing contest, which also has thousands of dollars worth of prizes and is all about getting women out fishing.

The ladies competition will go ahead regardless of the weather. If it is unsuitable for fishing, entrants will compete for prizes in the clubrooms.
