Kaiti Sports Bar appeals liquor licence

THE Kaiti Sports Bar has appealed last month’s decision to not extend a liquor licence to the premises.

On November 28, the Gisborne District Licencing Committee (GDLC) declined the licence renewal for the former Kaiti TAB located in Kaiti Mall.

The existing licence will stop December 31, and they will not be able to sell alcohol after that date.

Owner and director Kuldip Nagra, whose husband Mohinder is the manager, lodged the appeal on December 7. She says she believes the GDLC got the decision wrong and they want their licence back.

How arrogant to appeal the decision and want this licence back! You are definitely not thinking about the Kaiti community, only your profits. I hope the Kaiti community protest and boycott your establishment if the decision is reversed in your favour.
