Ford enthusiasts will be treated to the presence of about 30 high-performance Falcons coming to town for the Falcon Car Club’s annual AGM next week.

Gisborne and the East Coast will host the 2018 AGM of the Ford Performance Vehicle (FPV) and Tickford Owners Club Inc from March 23 to 25.

Club members from all over New Zealand will attend with their vehicles.

Eastland branch chairman Trevor Baty said it was going to be a busy weekend. They would love to let more people know about it and always welcomed new members to the club.

There will be a meet and greet at the West Inn Tavern on the Friday night, followed by a cruise up the Coast on the Saturday morning.

All the cars will meet at the West Inn on the Saturday at about 8.30am before they travel up the Coast in convoy at 9am.

The AGM will be held at Te Puka Tavern in Tokomaru Bay, before the club members drive back to Gisborne for a public “show and shine” in the Warehouse car park.

Mr Baty encourages anyone with a Falcon from 1995 and up, Ford Ranger or Territory or 2005-onward Mustangs to join them on the cruise up the Coast. The AGM will be for club members only.

Do you think Gladstone Road Bridge should have its concrete parapet walls converted to steel railings on one or both of its sides as part of the upgrade and widening under way?
