Police respond to a possible armed incident

Armed police converged on a property in Matai Street near Childers Road in Te Hapara this morning in response to a report a firearm might have been seen during an argument in the street.

Police were advised at about 9.35am and a number of vehicles and officers responded.

Police said cordons were put in place as a precaution.
