MUCH LOVED: Emily Hallgarth admiring the maquette for the sculpture of Footrot Flats’ characters Wal and Dog. Picture by Rebecca Grunwell

A maquette for the sculpture of Footrot Flats characters Wal and Dog is part of the HB Williams Memorial Library’s collection of memorabilia associated with the late Murray Ball’s much-loved comic strip.

Joining the memorabilia on display in the library’s upstairs research area is a poster for Musical Theatre Gisborne’s production of Footrot Flats, which opens on Wednesday next week.
