A Hawke’s Bay girl with strong family links to the East Coast was also among the Youth MPs to address Parliament last week.

Rebekah Raihania (pictured), who attends Wellington Girls’ College, was Ikaroa-Rawhiti MP Meka Whaitiri’s youth MP at the three-day Youth Parliament.

The MP said she chose Rebekah as her electorate youth parliamentarian because she was an outstanding young woman.
