City Centre Vibrancy manager Lana Davy sits in the driver’s seat while Bramwells Pharmacy staff Amy Thompson, Paige Deans and Keita Sides stand in the tray of the $50,000 ute to be won in the Shop Local Scratch and Win promotion that runs to September 2.

Ms Davey said the promotion, which started on July 22 and finishes on September 2, had been gaining momentum over the last few weeks as people completed their puzzles and entered.

Each time a person spends $20 at a participating business, they get a scratch card featuring a hidden puzzle piece. To be eligible to win, they must collect all four pieces to complete the puzzle, then enter.

Twenty finalists will be drawn randomly under police supervision, with winners, their family and the wider public then invited to a live draw at Enterprise Cars on Gladstone Road on Saturday, September 14, at 1pm.

“It is incredible that at the end of this six weeks someone will walk away with a brand new Foton Tunland four-wheel-drive ute just because they shopped locally in the Gisborne CBD,” said Ms Davey.
