Young tennis players made the most of a tennis open day at the Love Tennis weekend at Gisborne Tennis Club.

This was one of many such events held nationwide, designed to give beginners the chance to give the game a go and more experienced players the opportunity to rekindle their passion for the sport.

There was a barbecue and participants also went into a draw to win a trip to next year’s ASB Classic which is attracting big names like Serena Williams and Canadian superstar Bianca Andreescu.
