Beef and Lamb New Zealand will bring its Environmental Issues Farmers Roadshow to Gisborne later this month to discuss the number of environmental issues currently being consulted on by the Government.

B+LNZ has put on the roadshow to:

— Help farmers understand what’s going on.

— Get feedback from farmers on their thoughts on the policies being proposed.

— Provide advice for farmers wanting to make a submission.

“The B+LNZ Environmental Policy team will take you through the recent Government announcements on carbon and freshwater and what they could mean for our industry, what B+LNZ is doing about it, and what you could do,” a spokesman said.

“This is an opportunity to learn more about what you can do to get involved in this consultation and make sure our farming voices are heard.”

Registration should go to Rebecca Brownlie (B+LNZ): Rebecca.Brownlie@beeflambnz.com

“For all general enquiries about the meeting, please contact Rowena Hume (B+LNZ): Rowena.Hume@beeflambnz.com.”

The Gisborne meeting will be held on Monday, September 23 from 2pm till 4pm at the Waikanae Surf Club in Grey Street.
