A 20-year-old man has denied alleged sexual offending involving underaged males, including by grooming them in conversations on Facebook Messenger.
Damien Jenkins pleaded not guilty to 10 charges and elected a jury trial, when he appeared briefly in Gisborne District Court this week.
He was further remanded on bail for a Crown case review hearing on February 28.
The charges are four of exposing a young person to indecent material (sexual conversations by Facebook Messenger), three of sexual connection with a young person, unlawful sexual connection with a male aged 12-16, meeting a young person after sexually grooming that person, and attempted unlawful sexual connection.
