Hutchins hit the mat running to power to a 9-0 lead. They then limited Stone’s team to just one point on each of the last three ends.

To reach the final, Hutchins defeated Bryan Pulley, Warren Edlin and Royden Owen 9-5

Stone’s team eliminated David Lynn, Lois Lamont and Kaia Matenga 12-5.

It was the 68th centre title for Hutchins, the 45th for Harvey and the 11th for Rickard.
