Gisborne Speedway meeting rained off

RAIN on Saturday forced Gisborne Speedway Club to cancel its race meeting, but club president Grant MacGregor said it was hoped to stage the events in December.

The Eastland Group Raceway was to hold the sidecar champion of champions and best-pairs racing.

“It was just too wet to run the meeting, unfortunately,” MacGregor said.

“At this stage we hope to hold those events as part of the December 6 and December 16 scheduled meetings, depending on the availability of competitors.”

The next meeting at the track is scheduled for November 24 and 25, The Burger King Super Saloons Series.
