Year 5 and 6 students did battle on the LJ Hooker Turf this week at the inter-primary school hockey tournament. Ten schools were drawn to compete in the Te Hapara School-run event and after pool games and playoffs, St Mary’s emerged champions. They beat Manutuke 3-1 in the final. Makaraka were third.
