NOW FOR THE PAIRS: Gisborne Intermediate student Dylan Foster on the mat in the indoor bowls competition at the AIMS Games International Sporting Championships in Mount Maunganui yesterday. Dylan topped a field of more than 300 young bowlers to win the singles title on Wednesday. It was an all-Gisborne final, with Dylan defeating Ilminster Intermediate’s Teleious Downs-Bryant 3-3, 8-1 in the final. The focus shifted to the pairs yesterday. Dylan teamed with cousin Kayla Trowell as the only Gis Int pair and they qualified for today’s post-section play along with nine Ilminster combinations. Dylan and Kayla’s elder brother Nathan won the pairs at last year’s AIMS Games, which this year feature over 10,800 students from 320 schools from throughout New Zealand, Tonga and the Cook Islands.
