Gisborne sidecar duo Rob Miller and “Red” George (8P), racing for Palmerston North this season, won the West Coast sidecar championship in Whanganui on Saturday night.

Miller and George won their first two races in the best-of-three series to decide the title, and so did a bike from Whanganui.

In the final deciding race the duo managed to get a good gate and won again.

“The Whanganui bike (34V) did not get as good a start in their third race, went wide and spun out, which handed us the title of West Coast champs,” Miller said.
