Clinton a qualified liar, achieved Benghazi attack

LETTER

Re: Wasn’t most popular, January 9 letter.

So Clinton was by far the most qualified. After 30 years she probably qualifies as the most consummate political liar. She has lied to the American people, the media, Congress, the FBI and inquests. She does it with a straight face, even though the evidence of her lying is to be found both in printed and video forms.

I was remiss in my last letter saying she did not achieve anything, when due to her inaction and ineptitude as Secretary of State, she did achieve the death of an American Ambassador and embassy security staff in Benghazi.

You bemoan the American system of electing a President — is it the best system? Probably not, but the Electoral College is the system they use and Trump won by a large majority.

You are correct he didn’t win the popular vote, but the difference between Clinton and Trump amounted to about 700,000 votes out of approximately 140 million votes, so not a major win to Clinton there.

Would your sentiment of their system be the same if the results were reversed? But don’t worry you can root for either Kanye West or Michelle Obama in 2020.

So you are wrong again. 1) It was the Republicans in Congress who pulled the security out of all American Embassies that truly lead to the death of the Ambassador. While I would not want to belittle the grief of those that died's loved ones, four people do not equal the hundreds of thousands of lives affected by the action of Republican President George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. 2) The difference between the votes is actually closer to 3 million votes. The Electoral College system of calculating votes is akin to the unfair First Past the Post system we used to have, until we grew up to proportional representation, the winner in each State receives all of the Electoral college votes of that state even if they only won it by 1 or 1 million votes. Hardly democratic.
