Fire dangers in Tamarau

LETTER

Do some people have no consideration for others? With Hawke’s Bay and Christchurch on fire, Gisborne will be next with the amount of fireworks going on each night around Newton and Alice streets. Imagine the disaster if the hill behind us catches fire.

People just seem to ignore the ban, which has included fireworks for the past month now. Everybody else will suffer the consequences when a fire starts. I’m worried, but I don’t know about anybody else.
