LETTER

Re: Failing to nurture basketball passion, February 15 letter.

I support what Catherine Kepa said in her article. It is always a joy to see our children compete at a national level.

It would be great to see more available facilities and support behind basketball. Campion College has some dedicated coaches in Adrian Sparks and Shane McClutchie. Their trainings are sometimes open to others to come, join in and have a run — that is the love they have for the game, and to keep promoting it to our children. Our Phillipino community also love to come on Sundays to train and have game-time. It is a great interaction of sportmanship and passion for basketball.

If you would like any information or to contact me regarding facilities/training, I can be reached at: marymcclutchie@hotmail.co.nz

All the best to the representatives.
