LETTER

As an Ozzie and proud Wallabies supporter, I had a wonderful two years teaching at Gisborne Boys’ High School throughout 1976 and 1977. One of the highlights for me was to sit in the assembly hall, along with more than 1000 boys and fellow staff members, listening to and watching Murray Ball as he spoke about himself, his life and his cartooning. He was, and remains, an inspiration to me. I imagine most of those boys will recall him with similar fondness. I am saddened by his passing.
