Heartfelt thanks for all the support and love

LETTER

Just over two weeks ago our youngest daughter Carla was tragically taken from our family. Words will never be able to describe how much we miss our baby girl and we know that this sentiment is also echoed in our community.

Our family has been both overwhelmed and humbled by the love and support that has poured in since the 2nd of May. It is therefore with sincere gratitude that we would like to send out our heartfelt thanks to friends and the wider community who assisted immediately. Special thanks to Andy Hayward and the Central School whanau, Abby and the PSG, police, Leanne, Jan, emergency services and Victim Support, Midway SLSC and also the wider Gisborne community.

We realise that to say “Thank You” is not enough to show how much we appreciate the amazing support we have received, and are realising the ripple effect this tragedy has had on our community. We hope that when people see a butterfly you will remember Carla and continue to talk about her.

Aroha nui.
