Nationals a hit thanks to great community spirit

LETTER

On behalf of the Poverty Bay Dog Trial Centre, I thank our local and national sponsors for your tremendous support of our championships at Pouawa. I have already received confirmation that one business has benefited from new clientele.

A huge thank you to Whangara Farms for the use of sheep, land, infrastructure and personnel, also Pihitia Station/Turihaua Stud for the use of land, grazing, practice grounds and support.

Weather conditions weren’t always favourable and our dedicated committee team battled some tough elements.

To all those non-dog trial fraternity, The Whangara Dog Trial Club, local dog trial centre clubs, our sponsors, members of the committee, workers and the general public who came for a look during the week, thank you for your support. Your community spirit made our event a great success.

We have had some great feedback. In New Zealand Dog Trial team captain Murray Child’s words: “It would be one of the better Nationals I have been to.”
