Brinkmanship needs to end

LETTER

There is an ancient but dangerous dance that many living things perform. It is the dance of death, which involves posturing, flexing, threatening and sometimes attacking one another in a fight to the death.

Mankind has historically performed this ritual too and, if the wrong moves are made, catastrophic outcomes can result.

North Korea and the United States are currently engaged in this dance, with leaders of dubious ability and maturity. The outcome will affect us all, and it is time for those leaders to take a backward step and turn the music down. It takes two to tango.

Beware our brothers from across the Tasman. Your participation in this dance is not helpful, and can only swing aggressive movements in our direction.
