Theatre facilities appreciated

LETTER

Last week we staged the ballet The Nutcracker at the War Memorial Theatre. The final product could not have been achieved to a high standard without the new facilities that were part of the theatre refurbishment. This includes having a fly tower for multiple scenery changes, along with new technology in the dressing rooms and side stage which made things so much easier for the crew and young cast.

My sincere thanks must go to the War Memorial Theatre Gisborne Trust and Gisborne District Council for having the belief and vision of what the improvements to this facility could provide. Not only has it brought more shows to our city, but it has given me the ability to provide young performers an opportunity to participate in a full ballet like professionals.
