Fell over illegally-parked car, occupant made fun of me

LETTER

For the record, I am an insulin-dependent diabetic. Last evening while out walking my sugar levels dropped and I had difficulty walking home. Along Grafton Road I fell over an illegally-parked motor car.

There are two issues here. What gives the arrogant motorist the right to block the footpath when there was 200m of unused kerbside parking? Second, there was a passenger in the front of the vehicle who made no effort to check if I was OK or needed help, but preferred to make derogatory comments about my condition. What has happened to common decency in our community?

Wasn't me...................... - 15 days ago
The problem is a lot of people in this town only care about themselves and think it's their right to park over the footpath. They are too lazy to walk that small extra distance, and that's why some of them are overweight. Hope you're OK :)
