Most missed a great event

LETTER

What a great day the Blues & Roots on 35 community Music and Arts Festival was on Saturday, but what a shame there was such poor attendance from our community.

Barnardos, Violence Free Tairawhiti Network members, Tauawhi volunteers plus a selection of our Community Champions Against Family Violence were there, and we really appreciate the Poverty Bay Blues Club for welcoming us into their space for another year.

The music was wonderful — we have great talent in our community and the outside acts were also fantastic. The food and drink people looked after everyone and the arts tent housed some amazing art work. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this event happen, you are absolute stars.
