The Panel, Radio NZ, February 12: A discussion about Bob Jones’ recent Waitangi Day column culminated in one of the panelists stating when asked whether rebuttal or umbrage was the more powerful response, answered, “Normally I’d say that (rebuttal) but I’m sitting in a position where I’m feeling a little bit sick of racist old men having platforms.”

This seems to apply to many of the recently-published opinion pieces regarding the regional name change issue.
