Huge support for tryathlon

LETTER

A huge thank you to everyone who made the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon the success it was on February 20. From the schools with all their tents and supporters, to the parents, volunteers, waka ama set-up crew, the council staff and Debbie at Sport Gisborne.

Great to be able to have a sea swim in perfect conditions, a flat cycle course with no traffic along Centennial Marine Drive and a run along the grass beside the boardwalk on the beach. The course was an excellent showcase of what Gisborne has to offer.

Thank you all.

Do you think Gladstone Road Bridge should have its concrete parapet walls converted to steel railings on one or both of its sides as part of the upgrade and widening under way?
