A piece of our history

LETTER

Re: Endeavour models.

Thank goodness our voices have been heard at last.

Let’s hope Mr Briant can make a replica using latest technology so a piece of our history is restored to its original site by Campion College. I can’t recall any accidents or health and safety issues for the years it was there!

We visited Gisborne in 1959 on our honeymoon and came back to live in 1969, and always as we drove into town the Endeavour reminded us what an important part it played in Poverty Bay’s beginnings.

We are proud of Gisborne and admire the way people have faced the challenges that have happened to our businesses and lifestyles.

We would contribute to replacing the Endeavour, but please no more waka.
