Let’s back Flag The Bag

LETTER

I am writing to alert people about plastic bags and their impact on sea animals, and to ask readers to support Flag the Bag.

I am only nine but I care about fish and am worried about all the plastic in the sea. One of my classmates found out about a study by scientists that said all seafood will have run out by 2050. Imagine no tuna on toast!

Right now FTB (Flag The Bag) bags are expensive for many people. But we could reduce the price so that more people can afford to buy them and less people will need to use plastic bags.

As well as sending this letter to the newspaper, I will put it on my family Facebook page and Gisborne District Council’s Facebook page.
