A huge fund for everything with few investment guides

LETTER

I’m delighted to see the significant investment in our roading infrastructure. It’s interesting that it comes from the Provincial Growth Fund and not through the normal transport funding streams, but it shows the PGF is really a huge fund for anything and everything and has few of the expected processes to guide investment.

However, we’ve seen many iterations of analysing our needs over the years, we know what is needed and will make the difference for our economy and the lives of our citizens. I look forward to seeing the details of this announcement.

Do you think Gladstone Road Bridge should have its concrete parapet walls converted to steel railings on one or both of its sides as part of the upgrade and widening under way?
