Lacking in leadership

LETTER

So Meng Foon thinks our city is great and that we are all happy campers in the town he runs with his cronies and yes men.

I am sure I am not the only one who disagrees with his front-page statement (December 4 story, ‘I disagree’).

This town is lacking in the one thing that makes a city great, and that is the leadership from the top.

I understand that tourism is on the rise here and that it is wise to promote this. I am sure that the tourists who are visiting here at the moment will be as underwhelmed as us town folk at the “wonderful” Christmas decorations that adorn the street. I am sure they will enjoy encountering fully-loaded three-trailer logging trucks bullying their way through the city, roads that are like the surface of the moon and the historic port that is piles of logs.

When are the people of Gisborne going to realise that we need a council that makes decisions with consultation, so that the city is as beautiful as it could be, and vote out this council? We need to replace it with people who are not fulfilling their own agenda, but have the citizens of Gisborne in mind.

"Fulfilling their own agenda" You must be kidding.
Our council is made up of order followers for UN agenda 2030.
They claim they've never heard of it but that doesn't alter who they are.
They represent the yes men for globalisation and diversity.
Yes they lie ? about what is good for them and what is good for us.
