What else is planned?

LETTER

So after all this time someone had a dream, a light went on and we now have “Maunga Hikurangi — Journey to the First Light”. Front-page news with a list of things that may happen.

Great.

May I make a couple of additional suggestions:

Restore the waka that has been abandoned (shamefully), to be used in photo shoots etc.

Pop-up markets in Ruatoria. The community there, along with others, would I am sure be delighted to assist in making this a successful event. Such markets would put them on the map, and enlighten outsiders of the heritage they have and the uniqueness around them.
