CCS loss unthinkable

LETTER

This year is my 17th year as a stroke survivor and I have been looked after by carers of Turanga Health and CCS.

To lose CCS is unthinkable, as I have got wonderful carers and they certainly know how to look after their patients, are very knowledgeable and good to converse with.

I have been told by my carers that the majority of their patients are very concerned about this situation.

This new proposal will invariably take away all the gains and jeopardise many existing patients’ well-being.

It looks to me like the DHB is setting us up for rest homes.

As senior citizens, we have got rights as to where we want to live.
